On January 21, 2019, the Shandong Provincial Development and Reform Commission announced the list of key construction projects in Shandong Province in 2019. The first phase of the optical fiber preform and light manufacturing project of Huaneng (Taian) Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. (with an annual output of 300 tons of preforms and 10 million core kilometers of optical fiber) is ranked 7th in the key construction list.
